y-8 for those that dont know what thy are talking about was reinforced, and was very lag free unfortunately. We had a fleet in there probing for discos, and it was pitiful how many discoed with 700 warping to grid at near same time. Think 5 people disconnected.
As far as the fight, we didnt try and go for it, number 1 we didnt have enough dudes, tho we had a solid amt, but primarily because they were all in system and CTA and formed up all day long. Props to the NC for having dedicated resources to that system for like 12 hours straight. We didnt even remotely want to try and jump hundreds of dudes in there.
In k25 alot of our caps discoed on a unreinforced node and it was terribad. We came in to help solar save thier carriers and SBU, and the node pretty much died. We should have easily finished our objective but the node couldnt even handle dreads shooting at a station. Alot of capitals from our side died 100% to lag and node death. NC never blew up a single capital while on grid with us, it was all discos, or people that couldnt jump out of system and got socket error, or were stuck in siege permanantly. CCP didnt reimburse everyones ships, and we probably shouldnt have jumped in there, but we took the risk, and dealt with it.
Then you guys do it in fountain, and its like its some kinda of suprise? CCP better get ready to reimburse alot of ships, if they reimburse the ones you guys just lost, because you tried to load grid with 800 hostiles on it with probably 2500 drones launched. Poor FC decisions shouldnt be an excuse to get free isk back. Also inviting the NC to come help you out blob your enemy 1.5 to 2x to 1 im sure was really smart. Who knows maybe you could have actually fought back if they didnt show up. We thank you tho, it freed up geminate to get ransacked again. 
Maybe next time you should CTA up like the NC did at downtime, and hang out all day long. It sucks, but welcome to dominion and the silly amt of reinforcement timers and fighting on gates.
